Dr. Vicken Pamoukian lives in New York City and has spent his entire life striving for excellence as a Physician and Surgeon. As a dedicated surgeon, he enjoys the intellectual and personal aspect of practicing Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Surgery. Dr. Pamoukian has been serving the people of New York City and the Tristate area for over 26 years, working to help patients achieve their goals of a better and healthier life.
Dr. Pamoukian began his internship in 1996 at Lenox Hill Hospital under the guidance of preeminent New York City Surgeons. After maintaining the highest academic standards throughout residency, he was awarded the Chief Resident title in his final year. Dr. Pamoukian, then went on to a most coveted fellowship in Rochester New York, under the tutelage of Dr. Richar Green, then president of the Society of Vascular Surgeons. Dr. Pamoukian, embarked on several research projects and was extremely active during his fellowship, which prompted Lenox Hill to recruit him back to New York and continue his outstanding care there.
Dr Pamoukian is a solo practitioner and hence gives special attention to each patient on a one to one basis. All patients that come and see him, will see Dr Pamoukian in his private office and their care will be managed entirely by him. This gives his patients the comfort and the security that Dr Pamoukian is fully invested in their health.
Dr Pamoukian employs the latest technology and creates a custom plan of action that suits the individual patient best. His areas of expertise in cosmetic venous surgery and advanced arterial diseases, puts him at the forefront of patients with vascular disorders. As a Surgeon, Dr Pamoukian, is able to clearly understand and treat vascular diseases that he was especially trained in during his residency and fellowship. Patients feel the safety of knowing that a double Board Certified Vascular Surgeon is taking care of their health.
Dr Pamoukian has been awarded Top Doctor awards consistently for the past 7 years and has been featured in the New York Top Doctor magazine in the past three years, an award bestowed by physician colleagues. Dr Pamoukian has also been awarded Teacher of the Year twice in the past 10 years by the residents who are training at Lenox Hill, which shows his commitment to educating the doctors of tomorrow. Dr Pamoukian is in numerous societies, including the American College of Surgeon, The American Medical Association, and the Society of Vascular Surgeons. in the past four years, the Physician Attending Association of Lenox Hill has elected him as their President, which he proudly serves.
Dr. Pamoukian speaks five languages, English, Armenian, French, Arabic, Spanish and can converse in basic Hebrew as well. He is an amateur linguist and is constantly trying to improve his skills. In his free time, Dr Pamoukian paints with oil and acrylic and his paintings have traveled the world and are hung in several homes. Dr Pamoukian is also an avid footballer (soccer) and plays in a weekly league. He also enjoys playing tennis with his long-time friends and colleagues.
